Let me tell you about little miss independent. By now she is of course fluent in Slovene, so she decided, since we have so many Americans visiting us and also our team-mates are American, that she will just speak English to them. It has worked great for her so far, since now she can just talk to them as though she was one of them, and she can switch between languages as she chooses to. If she wants to talk to me in English, she calls my by my name, cause that is what Landon does, so that is my cue in knowing that, oh, now we are switching languages.
She enjoys her little friends so much that it is funny. Her best girlfriend is Ela, and her best boyfriend is Landon. Then there are many others. Every time we say we will go see somebody she keeps repeating their name, she get so happy. Oh and how she loves babies. Landon got a little brother just a month ago and when I was in the hospital she was waiting for me at home and as soon as I came home she asked why I hadn’t brought Jackson with me. Now when she sees him she just wants to pat him and she is super gentle. She just told me today that she wants a baby too (she says many times a day that she is carrying a baby in her tummy or also everywhere else in the house) and that we need to pray to Jesus to give us one. Oh dear, if Jesus won’t answer her prayers …?
She took the death of her ‘dedi’ incredibly well. She loved him so much and saw him every week, but we told her he died and isn’t coming back, and she never asked for him since. She accepted that it is just ‘babi’ now. She started to seek out her other ‘dedi’ more though. Incredible kid. She takes Andrej’s dad by the hand now (she never did this before), takes him to the room and says she wants to play, just with him.
Oh, I could write another book on her as well, I guess. Hehe… so that will be that. For now!
